We also host a full range of pies, chicken dishes, sausages and much more! We are always chopping and changing our offering to make sure we stay fresh, exciting, and full of mouth-watering flavour.

Our convenient location makes enjoying fresh, golden fish and chips effortless.
We understand the importance of gluten free options, which is why we offer a fully dedicated gluten free menu, available at all times, to safely accommodate those with coeliac disease and gluten sensitivities.
We cater to vegetarians and vegans with a variety of delicious options, including halloumi dishes and Quorn sausages, and all our chips are fried in completely separate oils to ensure a safe and satisfying meal for everyone.
After 8 years of hard work in Dawlish Warren’s hospitality scene, Archie fulfilled his dream of running his own business when he bought The Chip Thief in the spring of 2025. Today, he remains focused on growing and developing the business, ensuring it continues to delight customers and thrive, even in the challenging market we face today.
Archie’s parents, both retired from their own careers, have always been a huge source of support for everyone at the shop. Though not involved in the day-to-day running of the business, they’re always around to offer guidance, encouragement, and a helping hand whenever it’s needed. We're lucky to have them around!
Elysia is an important part of the team, supporting the business behind the scenes by helping with social media, marketing, and bringing positive energy to everything The Chip Thief does. She's also a keen 'food tester' and is a particularly big fan of the scampi! The dog? That's Duke - isn't he adorable!
With years of experience in Fish and Chips and hospitality, Tye came onboard in 2025 as Archie's 'righthand man' and now runs the daily operations of the Chip Thief as the Shop Manager. Tye’s commitment to quality and customer care makes him an invaluable part of the team.

All our suppliers are locally based and we like to support small businesses like ourselves where we can! All our fish is sourced from sustainable stocks and our potatoes are grown locally and supplied to us from Starcross.

Yes, we do have a small amount of outdoor seating available at the shop!
